Meet the Team

Uche Nkadi
  • Owner and Founder of SWOL LLC
  • Product Lead and Developer of SwolTime

Bio

Hey, I'm Uche! I was born in Philly, but at the age of 10 I moved to Atlanta where I attended Georgia Tech (Go Jackets!). After graduation, I moved to Seattle and worked full-time at Microsoft for almost 4 years working on Cloud Native technology and developer tooling including the Docker Extension for VS Code. I spent a year at Vercel as the Senior Product Manager of Observability before moving onto Snowflake as a Product Manager of Data Ingestion. I love building Products both professionally and in my spare time.

I looove EDM Music (especially Trap and House), cooking food for my friends, and dancing the night away.

Why did you create SwolTime?

I wanted to create something that would help people achieve even their most ambitious fitness goals. Throughout high school, I was a dual-sport athlete (wrestling and football) so I spent my fair share of time in the gym. Over the years, I saw so many athletes complain about the mental math of using an iOS stopwatch. After I graduated Georgia Tech with a few small app projects under my belt, I thought, why don't I make something I actually want to use?

Eventually, I decided there is nothing more important than time. Whether someone does weight training, sports drills, or yoga, I wanted to make something that could promote a healthier lifestyle.

SwolTime has arrived!

Polina Neretina
  • Lead Designer of SwolTime

Bio

Hi, I’m Polina. Originally from Russia, in 2022 I had decided to escape Putin and became a Digital Nomad in Barcelona, Spain.

I’m a nerd with an aesthetic sense, which allows me to blend my creative vision with strategic thinking to build cohesive design systems. I’m always eager to explore new creative approaches and push the boundaries of the designs I can achieve.

When I’m not designing, you’ll likely find me dancing salsa, out on a run, or planning my next hike.

What do you focus on when you design for SwolTime?

My goal with SwolTime is to provide a holistic and user-focused upgrade, positioning the app as a more versatile fitness tool while keeping the app simple and intuitive. I aim to add valuable tools while keeping the app’s interface user-friendly, ensuring that new features complement the original design without overwhelming users.
